From your Task Leader, Keith Abrahams
We will meet in the car park of the District Park, which is off Serpentine Close, Great Ashby at 10am, Sunday 9th January 2022.
Working to the Green Spaces action plan there will be three tasks:
- Removing wire – make sure you know how to use wire cutters & have your own gloves. For those cutting wire, FoGA eye protection will be available. Some will carry the wire to a collection point using a wheelbarrow and others will help pulling wire up from the ground.
- Removing Tree Guards & collecting loose Tree Guards. Please wear your own gloves.
- Litter Picking throughout the area. Please use your own gloves and the FoGA litter pickers and hoops.
The area is woodland so be sensible with footwear, hats, and eye protection to suit and avoid catching in any overhanging vegetation.
All mishaps or accidents, no matter how minor, must be reported to the task leader, who will have a first aid kit.
The task lasts between 10am and Noon, please advise your task leader when you leave, and bring suitable refreshments.
We will NOT be working at height and only using simple hand tools. Please see your Task Leader for induction, instruction & work allocation, and to sign in and provide backup contact details (see form). Please wear a provided Hi-Viz vest.
Please read the Risk Assessments and Task Instruction & Waiver.
