North Herts District Council – Parks and Nature Reserves
Of the 14 named parks and nature reserves in North Herts, Great Ashby is privileged to host 4 (30%) of them. The FoGA Volunteers are proud to support their cleanliness, tidiness and vitality, as well as their healthy accessibility, with small, but constant acts of care and concern.

Rights of Way & Cycle Paths
The Friends of Great Ashby (FoGA) regularly attend the Rights of Way (RoW) and conduct routine maintenance & clearing.
Litter Picks
A program of regular litter picks is sustained across the Woodlands and District Parks on a rota.
- This is conducted based on three key areas:
- Woodlands
- Paths & Rights of Way
- Parks & Open Spaces & Projects
Countryside Management Services (CMS)
FoGA supports the efforts of the CMS in their land management of the Great Ashby Green Spaces.
